Asian Arts Day at Rawlins Community College

The Asian Arts day at Rawlins Community College was a celebration of cultural diversity. Kala Kahani were pleased to support Rawlins Community College in holding an exciting South Asian Festival Day on July 7th, 2004. As part fo their contribution to the festival, Kala Kahani arranged for Debjani Chatterjee to spend the day at the College. Debjani ran two workshops in the College library and also read from her fiction and poetry. Also as part of the festivities students enjoyed Gujerati cookery lessons, classical and Bollywood dance and the opportunity to play Indian instruments in a music workshop. An inspirational day was enjoyed by all who took part!
