Blank Faces by Ruwaydah Hossain
Long queues of people.
Very shocking.
Moving out of their homes.
In search of another.
Everyone scared
and tired. Looked like
they just wanted to die.
Were so sad. Had hardly any food
or clothes, just rags.
Very depressed
Everyone had lost either friends or family.
Dead bodies. Hadn't even
been buried.
And possessions
left on the ground,
with vulture on the roof.
Didn't care if they lived or died:
they had lost so much.
Had to live in tiny shacks,
had to cope with what they got.
Didn't know what to do.
Homeless people had blank faces on.
