multicultural weeks and enrichment projects

Kala Kahani can provide a range of activities for Schools, Colleges, work places and educational settings. We can plan and deliver individual days, celebration events and whole weeks to encourage your participants to enjoy arts and craft activities from other cultures. In particular Kala Kahani focuses on storytelling, craft workshops, henna painting and Bollywood dance from the South Asian sub continent. Participants will enjoy learning about different cultures through art. literature and music. Our programmes are tailored to fit in with all stages of the National Curriculum. All our artists are fully CRB checked.

This is an example of previous projects:

Day 1: Rangoli (doorstep painting patterns) and Storytelling

Day 2: Indian cooking and Puppet making

Day 3: Rag Pickers Photography workshop and creative writing

Day 4: Bollywood Dance and Storytelling

Day 5: Henna painting and Sari demonstration

We work with all ages, abilities and disabilities and can tailor workshops to your individual needs and budget.
