National Year of Reading 2008

2008 is the National Year of Reading, Kala Kahani will be celebrating this by offering a book exchange service. We will be both collecting and distributing books free of charge to schools and community centres. Our emphasis will be on books by South Asian authors or South Asian subject matter. The National Year of Reading is about promoting and encouraging not only people to read, but to enjoy it too! Through our programme we would like to also get some discussion groups going, and talk about what we have read and enjoyed.
