Punam Dar Kaul

I came across Punam's work in 'Art Industry' magazine, who were doing a profile on the success of the Europen Social Fund initiative, co -ordinated by Birmingham City Council named 'Equal ll: The Last Mile.' I loved the vibrancy of Punam's work and asked for her permission to share it with you. This is what she says about herself...'I have not had any formal art education, but in 2003 I started drawing and painting with a passion. I grew up surrounded by images of the Hindu Gods & Goddesses in their various opulent forms and hearing stories of their magical lives.

As a result, my work is a narrative in which I am the storyteller. In my paintings I like to combine traditional images with contemporary scenes. My work ranges in size from small paintings to very large commissioned pieces.
