The Reunion

The passage we chose was about Fillipo going back to Hindustan and seeing Noor again. They are meeting after a long time and she tells him about her life there, since they last met. The passage is set in Hindustan and the characters are Fillipo and Noor.

Noor Fillipo?

Fillipo Noor? I can’t believe it.

Noor I had heard of your arrival, they told me you were here. I’d always hoped you would come back some day.

Fillipo It’s been so many years. Are you happy? Are you glad that you stayed?

Noor I did what was right at the time and I would make the same choice if I had to live that time again.

There is silence. Noor starts to walk away but stops when Fillipo

starts talking again.

Fillipo Did you ever dance for the emporer?

Noor No, I never did. I was married a year after you left, I only ever danced for children.

Noor begins to walk away again
